Mini Field Work

So, I recently went to this super cool restaurant called Lagos TSQ in Manhattan, and honestly, it was such an awesome experience. The place has a cool mix of modern Nigerian and international food, and the vibe is all about luxury and chill. Originally I was supposed to go with my mother, but my friend had sent me this place and it just so happened to be a Nigerian restaurant since we are Nigerian so I ended up going with my friend and I can tell you it was definitely a 10/10. The restaurant looks super cool and modern, plus it has some awesome Afrocentric art that really makes it stand out. The lighting is soft and warm, making it a really cozy place that’s perfect for hanging out or celebrating something special. The lounge area is chill with comfy seats and a playlist that totally vibes with the atmosphere. The menu has a really cool variety of dishes, featuring classic Nigerian favorites like jollof rice and grilled suya, along with some awesome global options like seafood pasta and gourmet burgers. I went for the pepper soup as an appetizer, and it was super well-seasoned and spicy. Then I had the Lagos pasta with a side of beef Suya, and it was awesome! The flavors were super rich and tasted just like the one I had in Nigeria, showing that a lot of care went into making them. The dessert was really good I just had a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The cocktail menu is really cool, featuring fun twists on classic drinks and unique options that use local ingredients. You’ve gotta try their zobo-infused margarita! It’s super refreshing and definitely one-of-a-kind. The staff paid close attention, was friendly, and knew a lot about the food. They also made good suggestions that made the experience better. The service was quick without being rushed, which made for a great eating experience. Overall I’m so glad my friend took me here and this might be my birthday spot for next year !
