10 Minute Class

I gave my twin brother and mother, a short ten-minute class on how previous coups could impact a democracy. I told them that military intervention in politics is a sign of a hybrid democracy and Pakistan is an excellent example of it. Military in Pakistan has a lot of influence and power, and many people don’t see the army in a negative light. My mom is one of the people, who see the military positively and my mom’s family have been army officials, so her opinions were hard to change. But with a lot of debate and showing her the bigger picture, I succeeded in my mission. It was easier to convince my brother. My brother had a lot of questions like, how could we tell if a country is democratic or not or which politician is better? After the lecture, I asked my mom, if she had any questions. I answered her questions and ended the session. This class taught me how to share my knowledge and explain it clearly for the audience to understand. My mom and brother were quite surprised, after knowing the impact of military rule.

I grade myself 10 points for this assignment
