Compared to my first post, I’ve made clear growth. At first, I went into talks with a basic understanding of the topic, but my answers were too general when it came to tying theory to case studies. Over time, I’ve gotten better at breaking down and putting together complicated ideas, and I’m better at using facts to back up my claims. There are more clear comparisons and reviews in my new analyses of Kenyan and Nigerian government systems and democracy practices. This is because I’ve been writing more carefully. Additionally, I am now better able to find and fix general problems while still being objective. This growth shows that I’m better at researching and really interested in what I’m reading, which lets me come up with more well-thought-out and supported ideas.
