Self-Evaluation

I think from where I started, initially, I was interested in understanding the basic ideas of political systems, methods of voting, and party structure. Over time, I started to understand these ideas as they applied to real-life examples, such as Switzerland and the UAE.

Most major gains are actually in the ability to break down the various systems in front of me into understandable, comparable segments. At first, I couldn’t seem to line up my thoughts or say in a few words what I meant to say. Now, I have lots of confidence in being able to write shorter pieces but still capture the main ideas. I have become much better at simplifying a rather complex subject but retaining the important information and presenting it to a reader.

It took me further with more interest in how different governments work. Such involvement made me make more substantial opinions, above all, when comparing countries with different political systems.

I am proud with what I learn true this class by doing my reading, full of confidence to share my ideas. I’m excited to visit the counties I am writing about.
